Marchese Day @ Little Italy,

San Diego, Ca.

Well? Almost Marchese Day!! Not only was Salvatore Marchese appearing on the main stage, but Joel Marchese was appearing at the end of the street with his jazz band! Joel is the son of Victor Marchese, a recording artist in the fifties, along the style of Mario Lanza!  Joel plays the trumpet and is leader as well! The Pastore’s were there, she is a Marchese, a new friend Katharine Marchese was there, and another friend from the Italian club, Gaetano Avila was there, one of his family members is a Marchese.  Joel sells C D’s of his Dad’s music on his website: www.victormarchese.com
Here I am on the left, listening to Mario Marchese Jr. tell a joke! I have been hanging around these Italians so long, most people think I am one of them, especially with that hat on. We were joined by his sister, Josephine who had just returned from Las Vegas celebrating her 90th birthday!! What a joy to be around! She has such a good spirit, and sharp mind!!
This is Marlene with her cousin Diane “Marchese” Anderson. She is the youngest daughter of Mario Marchese Jr. She is really into horses! She enjoyed seeing the stuffed horse with the replica of the wagons from Palermo, Sicily! Her son Jeremy and his wife also attended!

Well, we found a place to eat also! Can’t walk by all day, without testing the food!! Left to right, Yvonne {daughter of Josephine} myself, Pat & Faye Pastore, Josephine and Marlene took the photo!
