Very professional, a great rapport with the audience, as you can see by the photo in the center he had them dancing in the street!! Some of the songs Sal sang were, O Solo Mio, the Frank Sinatra classic, I did it my way, & many other Italian classics. By the end of the performance everyone was in agreement, “ Lets have him again next year!”

Sal with the people who were responsible for his being invited to San Diego! On left is Pat and Faye “Marchese” Pastore. They are originally from New York and still take the Italian paper which told of Sal appearing in New York. They alerted Marlene who is into Marchese genealogy, she contacted Sal and over time she put him in contact with Roman Holiday who issued him a contract. To Sal’s left is Josephine Marchese, Matriarch of Marlene’s Family! Aunt Josephine had just returned from Las Vegas, celebrating her 90th birthday with her daughter!!

Sal at San Diego Bay, with host Marlene, they did several sites of the Bay, including the Harbor Cruise and Seaport Village for souvenirs. They went to lunch and met a friend Maurizio who was taking Sal to the airport for his evening flight back to New York. Marlene received an e-mail from Maurizio that Sal had played the piano and sang at the restaurant where they had dinner that evening and he was offered an immediate job by the manager!!
